Leggi questa pagina in Italiano Lire cette page en Français

This effect is obtained through the technique of subtractive synthesis. This course doesn't treat the topic of sound-synthesis and its implications. For our needs it will suffice to say that subtractive synthesis consists in the removal, using apposite filters, of certain frequencies which made up the original sound. Such filters are controlled by parameters which depend on the input signal, called VCF (Voltage Controlled filter).

The following is a vocal sound and its manipulation through the application of a vocoder effect

A nice voice [Track 37]

Effects and signal processors - A nice voice[Track 37]

The same voice after the vocoder effect has been applied [Track 38]

Effects and signal processors - The same voice after the vocoder effect has been applied[Track 38]
