This diagram illustrates the directional characteristics of a loudspeaker. The following figure is an example of this:

The different lines indicate the sound intensity varying with the propagation angle. Every line is characterized by a frequency. What is once again evident, is that low frequencies are less directional than high frequencies: we can in fact see how the curve of the lowest frequency (250 Hz) has quite a regular outline, independently from direction, which becomes more irregual as frequency increases.
